I am an undergraduate student at Yonsei University, double majoring in Physics and Electrical & Electronic Engineering. Recently, I joined CVLAB in the Kim Jaechul Graduate School of AI at KAIST as an undergradute researcher, advised by Prof. Seungryong Kim.
Building on my early work on discrete diffusion, my research now focuses on diffusion models for sequential modeling, particularly for video generation. Discrete diffusion brought together two components: diffusion as a probabilistic generative framework and language modeling as an instance of sequential modeling. The diffusion component shifted my interest from applications in language toward diffusion models for vision, while the language-modeling component drew me to the broader principles of sequential modeling that extend beyond language. With my background in physics, I was particularly drawn to world models in reinforcement learning, which learn system dynamics from observed trajectories. This perspective further deepened my interest in sequential modeling.
Bringing these interests together, I currently study autoregressive video diffusion models, which combine the probabilistic framework of diffusion with sequential modeling over time for video generation.
